Course Details

The EPA requires those who are paid to perform renovations, repairs and painting projects which disturb lead-based paint in homes, apartments, child care facilities and schools built before 1978 to become certified by taking a Lead Renovation, Repair, and Painting (RRP) Course. Personnel at property management companies (PMCs) are required to be trained as well, not just the contractors they hire. Refresher training is a one-day, 4-hour course and is applicable to those individuals who have previously taken the initial training course. Renewal must be completed on or before before your certification expiration date, which is typically 5 years after the initial course.
